Clarity Labs is the vendor contracted by LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) to administer PCR and Covid Tests to travelers.

We chose this lab versus CVS, Walgreens, and other local labs due to its competitive pricing and the fact it offered the results in 3 to 5 hours. PCR testing is offered for FREE at CVS, Walgreens, and other local pharmacies but they take at least 24 hours or more.

We have heard of people not making their flights due to the unpredictable results window.  Traveling with a party of 4 we could not risk any delay in test results, nor can we risk anyone with a “false positive“.  Hence, we went with a trustworthy site that offers accurate testing results.

We would have gone to Long Beach Airport for our testing, but they only offer $20 PCR tests to travelers with tickets out of Long Beach Airport. Otherwise, it’s $220 at Long Beach Airport for a PCR test.

We chose the 3-5 hour PCR at Terminal 6 Lab for $125 per person. (As of July 2021)

They also offer 1-hour lab ($199) and 24-48 hour labs (also $125) for different pricing and at different terminals.

We had a good experience as the workers were very kind and informative. Since Kay was a kid hence we were directed by the staff to go to Booth #4.

Kay initially made a run from the booth and I had to round her back up to speak to the nurse. The nurse was incredibly kind and worked well with kids. She turned the experience into a game and got Kay to hold still to get the test administered.

The kids’ test results arrived in 3.5 hours. The adults’ test results arrived in 4.5 hours.

Kudos to all the workers and staff at Clarity Lab.
